You may have seen the mobile eBooks, iPhone apps, Android apps and Facebook apps that are tipped to be the biggest thing on the internet since time began.
Well, the problem with these apps is that nobody has a real idea about how their business can actually get into the marketplace and stand alongside the already well placed companies.
If you have an eBook or product you think would appeal to mobile users, who want to access your content on the move, the process is quite simple.
You need three things:
- A great product
- A developer/programmer
The product needs to be good for the mobile market. So think free eBook (with affiliate links inside!) and think free tools such as PPC calculators or keyword tools. Any simple app that can be used on the move by your niche market. The ideas that pop into your head should be thick and fast, because in the mobile app market right now there is very little for internet marketers.
Developers are easy to come by. You can get a basic app designed and built for under $20 by a good programmer, by frequenting the Freelancer.com and Guru.com sites – and then all that’s left is the marketing. The marketing is still finding its free for Android apps and such, because nobody really knows the market yet. On Facebook, apps are given free range CPM, CPI and CPC campaigns with companies, and not one has really stood out from the rest as being the best. So, with marketing, what you really ought to do is stick with what you know. Advertising on your regular forums and sites, and on Google Adwords will certainly get your app installed by the right people. Register your app at Android directories etc. They will soon get views and downloads.
